Jam and Cheesecake Filled Danishes

These make a scrumptious afternoon snack, sweet breakfast treat, or simple entertaining dessert.
Ingredients
  • 1 can of Pillsbury crescent dough (or other brands)
  • ¼ pkg of softened cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • A squeeze of lemon
  • ⅓ cup of your favorite jam
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl until smooth and set aside.
  3. Take the crescent dough out of the tube, still keeping it in a log shape. Cut the crescent dough log into 10 even slices and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use your thumb to make an indentation in the middle of each slice.
  4. Evenly spoon the cream cheese into the well of each crescent roll slice, then spoon the jam of your choice on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the jam is bubbling. Cool for 5-10 minutes and serve.
